June 17, 2009 at 11:13 AM (knitting, socks, wips)

I’ve decided to try and make some progress on my willow since Matt’s socks are making a callous or two on my right middle finger….once those fade on out or I get bored with Willow I’ll finish his socks. 🙂

this is part of willow its a little longer now, I’m at the point to do decreases for the arm holes.

and this is matt’s in progress socks…its socks that rock in valkyrie…without proper lighting it looks plain black, but in the right light its purple and red streaked!

WIPS AHOY

June 5, 2009 at 9:19 AM (knitting, socks, Uncategorized, wips)

So I have a bunch of sock patterns on the needles at the moment. I have a pair of gradient socks that you can see here:  gradient sock wip

and i have striping vesper socks in sweetwater here for my friend sean. what a way to bring in summer with those bright colors, eh?

I also have another sock yarn project but its not socks! Its a baby sweater for my soon to be born nephew.  (insert link)I got about 2 months till he pops out so i’m holding off seaming the sleeves and knitting the collar. I plan to add little blue watermelon buttons too. He’s a lucky boy cause this is the first of sweaters he’ll actually get!

Fo’s of the year so far…

June 4, 2009 at 11:57 AM (finished knits, knitting)

Here are some finished knits of the year so far, I’m hoping I will have more added to the list!!!

this is a dress I made for my niece, she loves how the skirt twirls, it took about a month to knit, and I used Socks That Rock Heavyweight.

These are some Rockin’ Red fingerless mitts I made for going to hockey games. Its Vitals in DK superwash by Pigeonroof Studios. Took about 2 weeks to knit up.

These are Knitterly Things Vesper sock yarn in Boogie Man colorway. It happens to be the color way for the former Philly Phantoms hockey team, but I think its cool. 🙂 I love striping sock yarn so expect to see a lot of those in the future.

The next batch is stuff I knitted for a friend who had a baby back in December. The baby is name Chaya (hi-ya)….I made her a dress (took about 2 months with hesitating on sewing on buttons-I’m horrible at sewing) with Hello Kitty buttons and a cardigan for when she was just born with matching booties. Both yarns are Socks that Rock, colorways are Lover’s Leap, and Goody Goody.

button close up 🙂

full size of dress, this was before i wove in the ends.

the baby cardi

and the booties

i often just take random thoughts and jot them down so if you except longer entries from me you might not get them.  though i do them sometimes but sometimes i just wanna jot down a random thought.
